Italy's largest grill

The symbol of the event is its extraordinary grill, over 14 meters long, considered the largest working grill in Italy. This is where the famous Chianina steak is cooked, from the cattle breed of the same name native to the Val di Chiana and recognized as one of the excellences of Tuscan gastronomy. Traditionally served rare, seasoned simply with coarse salt and paired with local flavors, the steak keeps all the character of the most authentic Tuscan cuisine.

A celebration in the heart of Cortona

The festival takes place at the Giardini del Parterre, within Cortona's ancient Etruscan walls. Outdoor tables, the smell of the grill and a convivial atmosphere turn the historic center into a great meeting point, where residents and visitors share one of the town's most cherished traditions. Every evening the program is enriched with free concerts and musical performances, making the event a celebration for all ages.
