Following the success of the first edition of the Festival Radici Culturali, dedicated to Dante's Inferno, a new theatrical production inspired by one of the great masterpieces of classical literature returns to Cortona: "Odyssey – The Journey of Knowledge." The event, promoted by the Associazione Teatrocinematografica Europea Nuovi Argomenti (A.T.E.N.A.), under the patronage and with the support of the Municipality of Cortona and the MAEC, in agreement with the Regional Directorate of National Museums of Tuscany, will take place in the setting of the Archaeological Area of Il Sodo.

The cast and the journey through the poem
The entire Homeric poem will be told through three performances written, adapted, directed and performed by Gianluca Brundo, accompanied by percussion by Maicol Cucchi and the voice of Gaia Morgantini. Costumes are by Maria Ines Saglietti.
The great themes of the Odyssey
A theatrical journey dedicated to the great themes of the Odyssey: homecoming, the search for one's own identity, change and the value of knowledge. Themes that take on special meaning in a place deeply tied to the history and roots of Mediterranean culture.
Practical tips
It's recommended to bring a cushion for greater comfort during the performances. Reaching the Archaeological Area of Il Sodo by car is advisable.
